Who We Are
One of the first optometry groups in the nation, Today’s Vision was founded in 1984 as a franchise model. In 2005, the licensees bought the company from the two original owners and established its network format.
Today, TVLC is comprised of individually-owned and individually-operated optical practices that have joined together for mutual benefits. Unlike the franchise model, each doctor makes his or her decisions regarding all aspects of the owner’s operations.
Think of us as an association. We exist to provide benefit and support to help make you successful.
Texas Proud
Our Texas-based locations include Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, South Texas and Tyler. Just as everything is bigger in Texas, we have many cities and territories available for those wanting to start their own practices – or selected existing practices who would like to keep their names and enjoy our benefits.

If you are considering opening a new practice, we have the knowledge and expertise on onboarding more than 30 such practices. We help you find your location, obtain financing, introduce architects and contractors, provide budgets, handle your managed care credentialling, make available existing office expertise and guide you personally – often times working with you months before you open your doors.
